Eeday
Eeday – Spirit of the Street
|
“Try to remember, there’s strength in letting go. The Artist:
James Eeday is the magnetic front man of EEDAY, with guitarist Rodney Sheppard of 90’s pop/funk band, Sugar Ray. Hailing from the Inland Empire, Eeday packs venues throughout Southern California and has opened for reggae greats Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and more with his Caribbean infused mix of hip-hop, R&B and dancehall. This upcoming singer and toaster has received strong radio play in Los Angeles on KROQ and KRCW and appeared live on Extra TV. His dance track, “Move Your Feet” was featured in the 2007 Disney Movie “Jump In!” and his music has also been featured in the soundtracks to the films Breaking the Rules (Miramax), Jamaica Beat, In Too Deep (Omar Epps, LL Cool J), Nuns On the Run (Eric Idle, Robbie Coltrane) and the hit series The Larry Sanders Show. Eeday’s latest CD, “Rise Up”, is available on CDBaby.com and Amazon. The Song:
“Eeday is like a brother to me. We have written songs together, played together, made records together and shared many important life experiences over the years. Although I might have some bias, I doubt anyone who knows Eeday or his music who differ with me when I say he is an inspiring, genuine and extremely talented artist and human being. Om Namo was one of the creative seeds that blossomed into the first Yoga Revolution CD. I wrote the song with Eeday to explore the potential of mixing a sanskrit mantra into a more popular original song form (in this case – Reggae), in a way that could be widely embraced by Western culture and still benefit from the healing vibrations of the mantra itself.” - Frank Fitzpatrick
