Sasha Lazard is an innovative and extraordinary talent, pioneering an exciting musical fusion of classical art songs, Russian folk tunes and opera arias with contemporary rock and electronic beats. Sasha received her vocal training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, but rebelled against the constraints of the tight-laced opera scene. She began collaborating with pop producer Frank Fitzpatrick and redefined her performance. She unveiled her new sound at top venues in New York, Los Angeles and Ibiza, Spain to rave reviews, attracting worldwide attention.

Sasha has recorded the theme songs to the films Princess Mononoke, Holy Smoke (Kate Winslet), Modigliani (Andy Garcia) and Kettle of Fish (Mathew Modine and Gina Gerson). Her alluring rendition of “Angeli” was featured in Victoria Secret’s “Angel” campaign, and she continues to sing for top designers and celebrities at international events. Sasha Lazard’s debut album, “The Myth of Red,” was released on Higher Octave Music/EMI, and charted well on Billboard’s Hot Dance and Classical Crossover lists. That effort was followed with the acoustic CD, “Moonfall” and the duet project with soprano Shawna Stone, “Siren,” for Manhattan Records/EMI in 2007. Her new album will be released later this year.
